    JAVA/Runner.1458, help?

Hope this is the proper place to ask this question

Avira scanned my system and told me that 'JAVA/Runner.1458' is a threat

It quarantined it but Avira has no information regarding the threat.

I searched for it using Google but the only stuff I could find is in French

    Any ideas?

    Hi MattDamonisdumb again.
On feeding 'JAVA/Runner.1458' into the AVIRA Knowledge Base Results there was nothing listed. May be a false positive.
I suggest you leave it in quarantine & contact Avira for confirmation re it's status.

Avira-Antivir Knowledge Base - Search results
User support for AntiVir security software - home or business user

[You might also care to scan with SuperAntiSpyware as a precaution.]

    UPDATE

    I got this from Avira

The file 'Client.class' has been determined to be 'MALWARE'. Our analysts named the threat Java/Runner.1458. The term "JAVA/" denotes a virulent Java-Applet or–Application.Detection will be added to our virus definition file (VDF) with one of the next updates.

ill post more info if/when it comes
