To quote a good friend from another site when we discovered someone we were helping was circumventing Microsoft validation and using illegal copies of Adobe software:

A reminder for anyone who comes along down the road and reads this thread ...

Cracked/warez versions of programs sound "good" and "cheap", but they can cause all sorts of headaches for you and damage to your computer. No reputable forum will support any method of cracking, warez, workarounds, providing any methods, tools, or posting of links designed for this express purpose.

There are people who have spent a great deal of money on developing and testing hardware and software, marketing and distributing it, and then on education and support for it. They have spent long, tedious, difficult and brain-numbing days/nights on their endeavor. They are attempting to make an honest living and feed their families.

Let's not support the thieves who rip them off and cheat them out of the fruits of their labor.

I suggest you read this, do some research then you can make an informed decision. Asking this question in a public forum will get you many varied answers and may only add to your confusion.

Thank you. The post completely reflects my feelings, but the credit for the wording goes to my friend, as always, an excellent wordsmith.

You can download (purchase) songs for .99 cents and $3.00, 48 hour movie rentals at Amazon.
Pretty cheap, and they don't come with malware.

The problem with downloading illegal stuff because you can't afford to pay for it, either affects all of us or it infects you and others you share with.

This perpetuates the malware/backdoor trojans/etc that travel around the net.
Why would anyone want to infect another's computer by being 'blind' to the consequences.

I call it selfishness

+1, your friend said that very well.

These same people will be coming and asking for free help to fix their problem so they can do the same thing again.

Glad to see most site are refusing to help these people when they are discovered.
