AV Comparitives May 2010
AV Comparitives just released the results of their latest testing. MSE scored 5th overall which has made me change my opinion of it. Although I won't be switching to it just yet, I must say that I am very surprised by these results..

Well it looks like my preferred AV (Avast) is slipping down the ranks...
Then again, I don't use any on-demand / resident scanners.
But why would they pit the free version of Avast against Avira Premium? Both have 'free' and 'paid for' versions

That's a shame. Avast needs some help.
BTW, I have never heard anyone using trustport AV.

thats the first time i have heard of trust port AV and it looks like norton did not score the best either i guess thats why a layered sercurity defence is best.

An early version of Avast! 5 Free was tested. There has been improvements since the test in its heuristics and behaviour engines.
Norton's best feature is its behaviour blocker, SONAR, which isn't tested here.
TrustPort uses the BitDefender and AVG engines.

MSE has performed very well in all the tests i have seen, and i have my eyes on A/V-comparatives & VB100 etc.
