I see you use Online Armor Premium. I used the free version. What do you think of Sphinx Windows 7 Firewall Control? I was able to block leak tests with it. Have we had this conversation?

Unless you are an advanced user, I would stay away from Comodo, at least, as your only real-time protection.
I've never had a problem with it, so long as I waited to install comodo after all other programs and drivers are installed. The firewall is the only feature I keep active, but that's just my personal preference. You do have a point, as it's very easy to disable internet connectivity and legitimate programs if you choose the wrong options and settings. It doesn't work well with other antimalware/antispyware programs either, unless you disable the defense+ and sandbox features before you run a scan or enable realtime protection. On the other hand, Comodo has never made a computer I've worked with freeze or crash, which is more than I can say for Symantec, McAfee, or Kaspersky, Avira, Avast, malwarebytes or MSE.

"...unless you disable the defense+ and sandbox features before you run a scan or enable realtime protection.."

    really ?

iīve used Comodoīs firewall & Defence+ together with: MSE, Avira, Avast, a-squared, i have NEVER noticed any problem.

previously i even had MSE, Avira & a-squared running together, all of them WITH their realtime-protection on, together with Comodoīs firewall & Defence+ !

i later temporarily replaced Avira with Avast, also with realtime-protection on, no problems detected.

to all: PLEASE, donīt waste your time telling me about "only one A/V..."

i already know all about it....

Download AVG antivirus 9.0, it is $42.99
Actually, the licensed version of AVG Internet Security for 1 computer (1 year) is USD 54.99.
    AVG Anti-Virus 9.0 - 34.99
    AVG Anti-Virus & Firewall 9.0 - 48.99
    AVG Internet Security 9.0 - 54.99

AVG Worldwide - Home and Small Office Security
Thanks for catching that. I was curious about the pricing so selected AVG antivirus 9.0, right-click search & I ended up at the Internet Security pricing.

Yeah. Sorry. I guess with all that comes through a post, it's hard to know what came when and from whom.

You could always download a 30-day trial of Kaspersky IS and see if you like it. It's firewall is manageable. I've never seen it act in action though.

If I tried something for thirty days and liked it, I would be inclined to buy it. Since there are so many good free choices out there, I'm not interested in shareware.
