    Malwarebytes does not auto update

I have a paid full version of the program. It is in my startup. I have it set to automatically do a daily scan and that works OK.

However, it NEVER updates - either the program or the Database Version. I have to manually "update" in order to get the latest data. I have it set to "Download and install update if available" and the Scheduler Updater is set to "hourly".

I have been told that it is supposed to automatically update. I have sent their Tech Support a query about this early Monday AM but so far no response.

I have never seen it updating automatically, even with the paid version.

It does update automatically in the brand new version 1.46 you have a schedule option to scan and to update, can't post a screen shot as I am not on me my New rig (Long Story) But I will get it back tomorrow hopefully and then will post a screen shot.

In the meantime I would suggest you uninstall it using Revo and then reinstall it again there is an option to update at least once a day in that

I haven't ever seen mine update either. I've found that I have to set a reminder once every few weeks to remind me to update all of the programs I use that don't have an auto-update feature.

I've just manually updated mine to the latest version, so we shall see. One thing that might be worth doing with this type of program is to actually install it from within an administrative account - the one that is created when you first install Vista/Windows 7 - and not a standard account that has been elevated.

There is a new thread on the malwarebytes forum. I'm not alone, there are others that are also having problems. Some have never worked (like me), some it used to work and some it is intermittent.

Mine has never worked, either when I had Vista and now with Win 7. I have the latest version (1.46).

Reinstalling 1.46 didn't do a thing for my problem. I uninstalled, using Revo uninstaller, rebooted and then did a new install of 1.46 last evening. This morning when I checked it, it did not autoupdate. I had to manually check for updates to get the database version updated.

Aha! Mine was set for the hourly but it was never listed as a task. I have now added it and probably will now work.

    THANKS!
