    user logon failed

I'm using a new PC with windows 7 home. I logon as admin with no password. Just tried to set up a new user account and it does this but when I try to logon with this new user account I get the message "The user Profile Service sevice failed the logon"

I've tried new accounts with and without passwords as well as trying a password for admin as well...any ideas?

I had this happen to me, and I am the admin on my PC. It said that it could not find my account profile and logged me into a temporary account. I thought all my stuff was lost, but when I restarted and logged in again I was able to login successfully.

My pc starts ok and if I set a password for admin it prompts me then starts up ok when I enter the password, but when I set up a new user account it creates it but then can't open it.

A friend had this problem, and apparently so do I. When I try to create a new user account, it won't add it to the "linked" user account list - just the administrator account can be seen here. Only the administrator account can be accessed by a password or otherwise, no other accounts can have passwords, but the guest account was accessible with no password. Somehow I even ended up with a "public" account I never set up.
I have tried all kinds of ways to go into user accounts, close, reopen, close, reopen, reopen, but none of it gets logged into a properly "linked" user account list. I even created a new file under "user accounts" for the new users, but the system fails to read its profile or even acknowledge it, and just gives me the following message, when I try to enter all password protected "user" accounts other than administrator:
"The User Logon Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be located".
ANYONE WITH A SIMILAR PROBLEM, THAT SOLVED IT, PLEASE HELP US!!
