Windows Classic Theme with Live Thumbnails

I have not been able to find an answer to this. Maybe I haven't searched well enough.

Anyway...for my preferences, I do not need all the effects that the Windows 7 Aero themes provide. I still prefer the simplicity of the Windows Classic theme. However, the one thing I do like about Aero is the Live Thumbnails. I've set the Windows Classic Theme for my desktop, however doing so disables the use of Live Thumbnails in the Taskbar.

Does anyone know how to make Live Thumbnails work in the Windows Classic theme?

    I'm using Win 7 Pro x64.

    Thanks!

    Hi Dakiav,

Give this one a try: Vista Classic - DWM Enabled Windows Classic VS - Neowin Forums

    Thank you Walker!

I'll definitely check this when I get the chance.

I need to research regarding the uxtheme patch. I'm curious whether or not I'll need to apply the patch for Win 7 x64, since this theme was written for Vista.

Plus, I thought I read somewhere that uxtheme patches didn't work on Win 7 x64 systems.

Might you (or anyone reading this) know if that's the case?

Sure thing - here are the recommended system requirements for the VistaGlazz patcher:
Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista (any SP) or Windows 7
    1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
    1 GB of system memory
    10 MB of disk space
So I think you should be fine. Let us know if you hit any snags in the process.

    Cheers,
