    unable to find aero themes?


    i just got the Alienware M11X, as it was the last one it was the desplay moddle so it had some crap on it from the shop i got it from so i reinstalled windows 7 doing so i lost all the alienware aero themes is there a folder where i could retreve it from as i still have the window.old and would like to get them back is thay look ausome and thay are ment to be on all alienware computers

    Welcome to Seven Forums razorblades. Themes are stored in one of 2 places.

    C:\windows\Resources\Themes

    OR

    C:\Users\(UserName)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes

    Hope you can rescue them from your windows.old folder :)

As the title says, I am looking for more Aero themes. I know there are other themes out there, but I have not found any Aero themes, as I like to use the Aero snap feature and Aero peek, which only works with the Aero themes.

A while back, Thurrott mentioned there were rumors of a new UI being put into place before RTM. Is there any credence to this? Or if not, are there any windows 7 themes that actually look good without transparency? All the themes I can find are translucent, which I think looks just horrible when...
