Problems with ownership for custom themes

I'm trying to install a custom theme, but while almost everything will change, the forward and back explorer buttons remain the same.

When I try to transfer the Shell, Explorer and timedate files, the computer rejects them and gives me the "You need Permission to perform this action". I took ownership of the Windows Files, I checked, and made sure I took ownership of all the little files, but it still won't change.

I have UxStyles installed as well. Only half of the theme refuses to install.

take ownership of whole windows folder.Thats what I did. When replacing files first backup it to some other folder.make your own folder for backups.then re-name that file into extension .old or something then you can put your new file there and restart your system...
that should be it...if Im wrong any1 please correct me
