Theme not Changing?

Hi, I have downloaded many new windows 7 themes, but my current theme does not change. Only the ones loaded on to the computer work. I've done alot of browsing on this problem an none of the solutions has worked yet. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit os.

I downloaded it & works for me
Did you patch the files with Universal Theme Patcher Theme - How to Apply Custom Themes & can you use other custom themes? If so than uninstall what I told you Enabling Custom Themes - Windows 7 & then follow this SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker & then use then use 1 of the 2 ways in the link Universal Theme Patcher or UxStyle
& try the theme again

I ran the system file checker and it did find corrupted system files. I tried both the Universal Theme patcher and uxstle and rebooted. It still does not work nor can i use other custom themes?

Are you putting the theme in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes?
Do not use both Universal Theme patcher & UxStyle at the same time
Did you turn off User Account Control when you installed Uxstyle & use the right 1 64 bit?
Let me know & we will go from there

Yes i am placing the themes in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes and I only tried the Uxstyle(64 bit) and patcher one at a time cause the other did not work at first. ???
