    shell32.dll Problem : Windows 7 x64 custom theme

Hello, Im having a problem modifying shell32.dll on windows 7 x64. On 32 bit windows it was simple, just replace the shell32.dll in windows \system32 and restart.

Im trying to modify the control panel side bar (with res hacker). I replace the resources in both windows/system32/shell32.dll and windows/syswow64/shell32.dll
I restart, yet the control panel bars are not changed. What gives???

Is thre another shell32.dll somewhere. I was told i need to change only those 2.

BTW i checked both and the resources are changed to what i want.

I see your post here how to change the color of this? so I'm going to assume you follow it, like I said in that thread I have never done it before only read about it. ( I have changed them shell32.dlls before but I have never created any) I have seen some with #632, 633, 634, 635, 700 changed in the Shell32.dll all I can say is try it again and make sure your working with a copy and then renaming it and switching them and make sure you're not getting 32 bit and 64-bit mixed up.
You should do this 1st then start over SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
