windows explorer Crash on theme change

    Hi all

I have had an interesting problem ever since I started using windows 7.

I by default use a windows classic theme on my desktop,
but every time I change themes to Aero or another windows classic theme with more wallpapers. It crashes windows Explorer every time.

I then restart in safe mode and I Still have the same problem
the only way i know to fix this is to restore to before i tried to change the Theme.
I have tried reloading and reinstalling eveything, and even after doing this I still experience the same problems.

I heard from someone there is a patch to fix this issue. (google dosent have many results with my specific problem)
Where can I find this patch? or should I try to load SP1 patch.

    My system Specs are:
    Dell optiplex 380.
Graphics Card drivers:Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)
    Ram:4GB
    Disk :500GB
    windows 7 enterprise 32 bit 6.1.7600 Build 7600
    hope this

Yes, install the SP1 update, then come back if it's still happening.

I had a problem awhile after installing SP1 when I changed my theme. It appears that SP1 updates one of the three files you need to patch (my guess).
I ran deepxw's Universal Theme Patcher again and all was well.

    Tried the Universal patcher,
Worked for one of my themes, without crashing.

but other aero themes still crash windows explorer.

Will try later to update to SP1 and see where I get with that.
