Theme auto changes to Windows 7 Basic

I recently upgraded my monitor, and now whenever I record with Camtasia Studio it turns aero off. Now I know what you're thinking, "Camtasia is a terrible program" and I agree, I would smash it into pieces if I could. But my mate said that it stopped happening to him when he upgraded his CPU. Is there a way to get passed this? Beforehand, I had a 22" monitor at 1680x1050 res. If you want to know what I'm using now, look at my specs.
Anyway to stop this from happening would be great, it is unavoidable.

Hi Craig !

Corel Media Studio used to turn aero off for me when I was using AMD Athlon II X4 . There are a few other programs like Adobe Premier etc do the same thing, coz they need more system resources to run properly, and so they do it .
Now I am using i3, and till now not a single instance of disabling aero automatically by any program .

It's my experience, not a suggestion I cannot say is definitely that my present processor is better than the earlier one .

Yea, my mate used to get it on his Athlon II X2 and when he upgraded to a Phenom II X4, the issue discontinued.
