Windows 7 - Struggling to install ubuntu theme for windows

Hey guys I can't seem to install Ubuntu theme for windows, I got a few theme's from here:

Ultimate Collection of Ubuntu Themes for Windows - Ubuntu themes, Ubuntu transformation pack, Ubuntu visual styles, Vista themes, windows themes, XP themes, XP to ubuntu - Technically Personal!

and also this one:

I put the theme in the C:\Windows\Resources\Themes

but when I click on the theme the windows colour and appearance only shows, up

oh btw, I did do the UTXtheme patch..

and help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Seven Forums
The themes at the 1st link has a lot of problems and not complete.
The 2nd is OK do this make sure both (1 Ubuntu folder and 1 Ubuntu.theme file) in screenshot.


Are in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes


Then it should show up in Personalization as Windows 7 (The maker did not change the name in 1 place) click it and see if it changes.

Nope it does not show up in the personalisation window, look Capture.GIF

btw where do u get your theme's from and what theme u using now, they look awesome!

Double click on the Ubuntu.theme file and see if it will apply it.

Have you used any custom theme yet?
Run this SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
It will undo the system file patchs
Then you will need to do 1 of these 2 ways of Enabling custom themes for it to work.

Or
Theme - How to Apply Custom Themes

Go to

Task Manager > Services

And tell me if you see something called "Unsigned Themes"

If you don't then that means the patch is not running. Try restarting your computer and check again. If it still doesn't show up then reinstall it and restart again.
