Simple!, just try to check the comments @ youtube. perfect example. light gray fonts with white background.

Just tried it with that theme and its OK for me.
When you change themes is it OK?

Yes on IE and firefox, no on chrome.
pokerstars lobby also has the same problem.
Also i noticed this (web address not showing) in navigation cookies(firefox, my default browser).

the black backgrounds will have to be changed using windows style builder and changing
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > Items View > FillColor

this spot here will change the color on almost all the background colors of the visual
