Themes and Display Settings not working anymore
I can't get themes or display settings to start working for me again. About a day ago, I switched to the Windows Classic theme, but now when I go to the "Personalize" menu, the themes never load, and I can't even change the colors of the Windows Classic theme.
I tried enabling visual themes under Performance (under System in the Control Panel), but nothing changed.
And to top it off, I just found out I can't even change my screen resolution - everything on the Screen Resolution menu is an empty drop-down menu. Oddly enough, I can still rotate my screen without a problem.
Now I know it has NOTHING to do with the video drivers, because I haven't touched them since I installed them (it was a lengthy process to get them to work), and I know I haven't done anything since like two days ago, when everything was working fine.
Does anybody have a possible solution? Maybe a quick registry fix or something?
EDIT: I don't know if this is a possible solution, or if this would be against the forum rules...but could somebody upload a copy of shsvcs.dll, themeui.dll, and uxtheme.dll from the 7600 build of Windows 7? I was messing around with those files today, and I have a feeling they might have something to do with this problem.
