there is not a lot of difference ,i have used objectdock for several years now and never tried rocketdock,

im happy with objectdock so no need to try another that does virtually the same thing, i recommended it because i use it.

    whys that then ?

the chap is asking how to improve his desktop, we give him advice, he asks why one software over another, we answer.
the best answer would be try them both see which you prefer.

RocketDock in my opinion is better. It has a great website that offers thousands of themes, icons and styles as well as a wide variety of options. I've used both RocketDock and ObjectDock and I can tell you that I'd much prefer to use RocketDock.

The thing is though, you already have those application shortcuts on your desktop so a dock would be useless.

not useless ,put the shorts on a dock (whichever one) freeing up the middle of the desktop for wallpapers,
if you dont like then do a system restore to before. create a restore point first.

Frankly, i used Rocketdock before.but i stick with Rainmeter+dock because its easy to find.
And the problem for me is, my system spec make me hard to use the best applications or event gadgets. Going to upgrade my RAM soon

Yes, you should definitely consider a RAM upgrade. There's not much you can do customisation-wise with 1GB.

One thing I would do is change your pinned taskbar icons to match your desktop. You can use the below tutorial to do so. I'll also post a picture of my desktop if it helps.
    Taskbar Pinned Icons - Change
How can I get what you have? I love your layout but dont know where to start...

Could you please start a new thread? I'll answer there if you'd like.
