How do I change the colour of the search bar in the start menu?

I've been looking all over the internet, but I couldnt find a solution. I don't know if it are my websearching skills or that there's just nothing out there, but I'd really like to know how to change the colour of the search bar in the Start Menu.

Customizing your start menu and search bar is highly possible but you have to do some system tweaking and patching.

Check out these pages. They have lots of themes and other customizations for Windows 7.

Browsing Visual Styles 7 on deviantART
http://browse.deviantart.com/customi...windows7/misc/
http://browse.deviantart.com/customi...ws7/startorbs/

Each deviation has instructions on how to install these visual styles and customizations but before tweaking/patching, you must understand the dangers, risks or possible outcomes if ever something goes wrong during the process.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Thank you for the quick response
But I was actually look for the real "how" , like doing it yourself. Also without changing the whole theme/style.

you can do it with VistaStyleBuilder and the locations are here i included the box and the text color

SearchBox background is at: Address,Breadcrumbs & Search > Search > SearchBox > Basic > Normal > Active > 1
textcolor is at: Address,Breadcrumbs & Search > Search > Edit > SearchEdit > TextBox > Normal & Accelerator TextColor:Colors
