You put the zip folder in there Put it back on the desktop

You need to unzip the folder and put what's in the Folder in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes
-customaero.png-screenshot-11_7_2011-10_55_50-am.png

Double click on the zip folder on the desktop when the window opens click on Extract All Files.
-customaero.zip.png

In the address field make sure it says desktop and click on the Extract button.
Name:  Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folders.png
Views: 2
Size:  30.5 KB

Open that folder and put both 1 theme folder and 1 .theme file in C/Windows/Resources/themes now it should be in Personalize as customaero

I'm getting error when I try to extract it. The error is. Compressed (zipped) Folders was unable to create the specific directory. Ensure that the directory does not already exist and the path entered is valid.

Delete that zip folder then and downloading new one from post #14 Themes
and try it again.

Download 7-Zip and install it. Make sure you get the right version 32 bit or 64-bit.
Name:  7zip.png
Views: 1
Size:  13.4 KB

To tell what version you have in the start menu right-click on computer go to properties.
Name:  Region.png
Views: 1
Size:  169.4 KB

Look for system type.
-system.png

After you have installed the right version right click on the zip folder go down to 7-zip and then over to and click on Extract Here see if that will extract that zip.

I just thought I would share this. At least one of the themes I downloaded from MS (French Riviera) caused my system to not be able to create a performance report. IE: elevated command prompt --- perfmon /report When I changed themes I could get it to work.

Aero features work for Aero Themes but not for My Themes
I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional and used Double Driver to reinstall all my drivers. Everything works fine with one exception. When I switch from the default Aero Theme to one of My Themes, the Aero features no longer work (i.e. transparency, thumbnails on the taskbar, ect.) ...

You know how you can select multiple wallpapers and have it switch or even shuffle through them? I wonder if they will make an option to either switch between themes or assign window colors to go with certain backgrounds, that would be nice. I think I'll talk to Microsoft about this :p
