Thinner start bar to fit "date" and "clock"

Hey guys.
Pleas tell me how do I make my Windows 7 start bar (superbar) thinner as much as I want. like if i would re-size it manually, because if I choose the option of "Use small icons" then in the left corner of my start bar I don't see the "date" it's only clock!!!, so if I could make it thinner and manage to keep and clock and date that would be just awesome for me
another question!!! Is there anybody who could tell me if it is possible to have a analog clock on the start bar or no, if yes how, (I don't care if it will be to small).
Thanks a lot
