    Question about Desktop WallPaper


    I make my own desktop wallpaper, and I change it every month so as to have a new calendar, but I was wondering where does the old wallpaper go, I have never actually deleted anything, I just "save as" desktop, so is that going on top of the old wallpaper, Im just concerned that there is going to be alot of unneccessary things stored there, and will slow down my pc. Thanks for any light anyone can shed on this question. Sandie

    Where do you put the wallpaper after you make it?

    Try checking here C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes

    AppData Is a hidden folder used this tutorial to show it Hidden Files and Folders - Show or Hide

    I just put it in a folder I named Desktop, than just click on the one I want to use and choose "set as desktop background".

    The ones you "save as" will be in that AppData folder I pointed you to. They are probably not taking up very much room on your Disk drive 1 I have saved is 3.65 KB

Question about Wallpaper

I'm running Win7 Pro SP1. I know how to change the wallpaper once Windows boots to the desktop, but how do you change it while it's stilling booting up? Thanks.
My "problem" is simple - if a picture is bigger than the desktop resolution, I want it to "fill" the Desktop (that is, not to use the entire desktop, but keep the ratio), however, if it is smaller, I want it in the "center" (that is, NOT tiled, NOT stretched, just the picture itself). I can't...
