Ways I have managed to get them to change is by customizing the icon and selecting default icon and the other way was as I mentioned above about folder options.

Great work Generator, I found a way to change the folders that don't refresh after install, go to your folder options and select "always show icons, never thumbnails", then hit Apply and then deselect it again and the new icons should take effect, at least they did for me anyway, if someone else wants to confirm this it would be very helpful.

Not sure if I could simulate that within the installer. I'll think about a way of trying to do it.

Hmm.. I wonder where the thumbnail cache is stored on 7..

EDIT: OK it's the thumbnail cache it seems. :)
Until it's coded into the install (I've found the cache files now) running 'cleanmgr.exe' (Disk Cleanup) and cleaning up 'thumbnail cache' seems to work if thats easier for people.

Excellent find, that's what you call teamwork mate, it a shame you can't just update the script without having to upload the icons again as well, maybe if we just explain that all you need to do replace the certain necessary files.

I knew we would figure it out sooner or later!

The dropbox mirrors will update as soon as I add the one line of code to the install script, it only updates the actual changed bytes of each file I store. :)
The Skydrive links will take awhile though...

Are you thinking of just upping the fixed 'install.cmd''s for now? (it'll be four additional links needed mind.)
I think maybe rather than confusing the process if we just specify the fixes for now whilst the scripts are updated? I'm already modifying the Black Glass ones and about to test.

I think maybe just go with your dropbox if that's easier, I'm not sure you need to worry about the skydrive unless you really want to.

Plus the I use Jdownloader to catch all my download links and I noticed that the skydrive was limited to one connection and gave slow download speeds, where as your dropbox links opened 8 connections (which is what I have set it to) and it downloaded at full bandwidth at max speed (900KBps for me).

I noticed yesterday when checking the links that the Dropbox was twice the speed than Skydrive.

I dont mind just using dropbox then, It'll be easier and quicker all around which has to be a good thing!. :)
