    Taskbar stuck on classic style.

Hi, I was playing around with some themes last night and downloaded a couple from the internet. At one point, one of the themes changed my taskbar to the classic style. This morning, when I turned my laptop on, I decided to change the theme back to aero, but the taskbar and overall theme stayed as the classic version. The sounds and desktop background changed, but the window style and taskbar won`t change, no matter what I do. I want to avoid a full system restore as much as possible. Can anyone help me out with this problem?

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit on a Toshiba Satellite L735 laptop.
Graphics Card is an NVIDIA GEFORCE 315m. The processor I'm is an Intel i3 Core.

do a SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker and it will repair certain files. when its done, restart and apply your theme and post back.

    rrniknia, welcome to Sevenforums!

Do you have a restore point you can use? System Restore

You can also try a startup repair 3 times: Startup Repair

    Welcome to the Seven Forums
Were these custom third party themes?
If so did you use the universal theme patcher or UxStyle?

Thank you all for the responses. I used third-party themes with the universal theme patcher. I do have a restore point that I can use, but I'd rather not lose the few files that will be gone when I restore the computer if it can be helped. I'm going to try koolkat's suggestion and post back with results.

EDIT: Thanks to everybody that offered to help me out here. Running the sfc /scannow command fixed the problem and the themes are working perfectly. I really can't express my gratitude for such quick and effective support that I received.
