    Complicated theme installation

Greetings all, i hope you are having a wonderful day.
Now to get to the point i have come across i theme i would like to use very much, the main reason to be honest is because it will skin my Foobar2000 Black.
I have installed themes before and know the theory behind it so i thought like all the others this will take 5mins and then i will be beaming in the glory of the almighty theme. However this was not the case, i changed the system files (Explorerframe.dll & Shell32.dll) and put the theme folder and extension in the correct place but cannot apply the theme. I was hoping one of you lovely people who has used this theme or maybe will even like it and want to try it could give me a general guide to installation as i clearly must be doing something wrong.

The one i am trying to use is "Dusk"
That right there is the theme, if there is anything else you need just let me know and i will do my best to provide you with it.
Pretty sure im making a silly mistake here but cant seem to fix it myself.

Hello Falsemajesty and welcome to the forums

Do other custom themes work for you?

Try this tutorial to patch your system files again, then reboot and try your theme :)

Hello Tom and thank you very much.
Just downloaded the Universal Theme Patcher and it seemed i did need to re-do that again for some reason.
Im not too sure why It didnt work the first time i patched but at least now i know the problem!
One more question.. When i take the Explorer and Shell32.dll files in this theme i have the option for x32 and x64 and as i am on x64 i will be using them, but do i put them in System32 or SysWOW64? this is my first time on a 64x OS (loving it)
And have been unsure what folder to put them in.

    Hello Falsemajesty,

That's great news, I was expecting this to take a lot more time than that! Perhaps a Windows update or overwrote the file or something.

I think you have to do both. I'll ask for a second opinion if it doesn't work.

Do you need help replacing the system files?

Me too! Cannot believe i missed that, i feel kind of silly now.
But best to do these things right and ask for help instead of messing up the system.
Well I have changed all the permissions on both System32 and SysWOW64 i am just unsure if i should use the system files in the theme in the folder x86 for the System32 and x64 files for SysWOW64 or the x64 version for both folders.
I also tried googling it as i was sure someone else would be confused about this but it seems it is only me.
