Here is something I did it needs more work yet. 
You will need to do 1 of these 2 ways of Enabling custom themes for it to work. Enabling Custom Themes - Windows 7
Or Theme - How to Apply Custom Themes

Thanks. Good idea. But I am getting there. I have managed to gt the hyperlinks set to white. Now I can see them on this burgundy or a blue background. Still need to do a bit of fine tuning. Try replacing the Black with the Blue if you want it more like your Linux.

Yeah, I tried blue too and that is fine. But I like the burgundy even better. But maybe I make myself a few more. Now that I know the routine that is easy. And the black on the bottom suits me fine. It is not overwhelming - as if one was on a funeral.
