Missing window border in custom Win7 (unsigned) Theme.

I was wondering if perhaps there was anyone able to assist me with this. I've been dabbling in custom themes for a while now, and I found one I really like - save one small issue: the bottom window border is missing.

I'm currently using Uxstyle Core (service) with Win7 64x to allow for unsigned themes. The rest of this theme appears to work fine, save this one bug (screenshot here).

I contacted the author, but it would seem that my issue is (obviously) abnormal, and I wasn't really able to get any help there. I hope someone here can help me. Thanks!

Edit: The theme in question is Oscuro.

It comes with some third party patchers for things like buttons and the like, but I applied all of those (reaping the relevant changes). It doesn't appear to make use of any custom dll files.

I downloaded and installed this theme and everything looked fine. I am also using Uxstyle Core so that is probably not the problem.
I am going to recommend you do SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker it will undo any system files that you have changed for any custom look to the default, I would back up any system files that you have changed so that after you run the scan you will be able to use them again. It will not undo Uxstyle Core so it will be okay.

Okay, I did it and it didn't find any integrity violations.

Perhaps you did something different? Could you roughly outline it?

All I did was download and install just the theme nothing else. If the above did not help I would download it again and install it again first deleting the old one.

I fixed it. Turns out, despite being a piece of rubbish, IE does do a slightly more thorough job of downloads. I found that out after getting bad kernels on my android phone, with mismatching hashes from Chrome.

Anyhow, I'm willing to bet that was the issue at hand. I downloaded everything again in IE, restarted the service manually, and reinstalled the theme. It seems to have fixed that issue - and the patched files (when repatched) did not cause it to reappear.

Protip: IE sucks, but if you need something downloaded properly, it's probably the place to go.

Looks like I was mistaken. I just looked and that pesky border is missing again.

I'm going to try a file patch, and see if that works better than the memory patch.

Sorry for the DP: When changing Windows Themes, do it from a non-aero theme.
I thought about it for a bit and realized that the transparency was probably some leftover from the Aero Win7 theme (default). Sure enough, I switched to "Basic" and then back to "Oscuro" and it worked like a charm.

I have seen that behavior before where one theme will bleed into another.

Still an issue. I bet it has something to do with aero in some way. (As going basic to oscuro fixes the issue).
