Aero is Missing

    Aero is Missing


    So I just reinstalled Windows (Premium 64) and now Aero appears to be missing, I tried forcing it through a hack but that didn't work.

    So what should I do get Aero again?

    No, I installed them before I even made this topic and they still weren't working so I asked around here.

    Click on Start Orb, type Aero...choose option "Fix and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects".

    That's worked numerous times for me in the past.

    That actually was the first thing I tried said Windows cannot repair the promlem.

    Mind you I fixed myself by going to Desktop > Personalize >Aero Themes > Windows 7

    Could you post a screen shot of your personalization. There should be a troubleshooter for the aero feature there. Troubleshoot problems with Windows Aero

    Edit: yes, also work on Pparks suggestion.

    That means the theme you had on all this while was the basic windows 7 theme.

    Had the same problem Run sfc /scannow and your computer will fix it. If it can't then get a patched uxtheme and run it. After I restarted It came back! And I did this in my Home basic. Now it looks like a windows ultimate cuz of personalization panel!

aero peek gone missing

I am puzzled as to why my aero peek display (is this the little mini pictures of the open windows?) has diappeared when I hover my mouse over the taskbar. All I have now is the title of the page, rather than a miniature of what's open. I did have to update display drivers a couple of days ago...
For you guys who enabled Aero, when you hover an icon in taskbar, it will show a mini preview of the window. I have that, enabled and running, but for some reason, the mini previews will sometimes gone, missing. What I mean by missing is, let's say you have 9 explorer windows, you minimized them...
Aero theme missing?

Hey guys, after messing around my entire OS ( i red your tips and tutorials one by one ) i just realized on obvious thing: I'm not using the aero theme, so i dont get the transparency. I'm using the basic them, i wonder why? how can i enable it in build 7000 ? i'm pretty sure my laptop can handle...
