All the possible fixes are described earlier by Brink, koolkat77 and Chris1neji.
If it some stuff done by anybody, those actions would have fixed the issue already. As you have full admin rights, you can go for a factory restore. For backing up data, Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console .
The only, and easiest way out of this is to get that password or permission.

As you've apparently been reduced to grasping at straws, you might try looking through event viewer logs to see what may have changed during that time period.
As previously mentioned though, I'd also be on the lookout for malware.
