    C:\Windows\Resources\Themes
    Paste your themes there.

Have you restarted after patching the files?

Yes .....but simply pasting the files in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes didn't work.....it does work for a basic theme package ..but what about "Explorer.exe,OobeFldr.dll,ExplorerFrame.dll,Shell32.dll".....where do i paste these files?

AFAIK whatever files are needed to patch, are patched by the uxthemepatcher.

Which themes you are trying to use? Could you share the links here?

Have you Right Click Personalize and selected the theme that you are trying to apply?

Changing explorer.exe will change the start button. Explorerframe will change the back\forward buttons. The others will also change some of the system elements. .

There are several ways to do it. One of those is by using System File Replacer

Another widely used tool is Windows 7 Theme Installer

I would suggest you to have a Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup before you mess with the system files .
