True Classic Themes for Windows 7

Hello here
This is my firsft work about theme porting
I have ported all classic appearance themes what you have seen in Windows 98/2000/ME, such as
  • Bricks
  • Desert
  • Eggplant
  • Liac
  • Maple
  • Marine
  • Plum
  • Pumplkin
  • Rainy day
  • Red blue white
  • Rose
  • Slate
  • Spruce
  • Storm
  • Teal
  • Wheat

I feel the nostalgie with them. Maybe you will like them too. They are close to original at 100%
See the screenshots:

Your quite right boobah about two years ago a OP in a thread titled Miss XP Themes liked the eggplant theme from XP and I closely replicated the theme for her and also closely recreated the rest in another very old thread so I know how time consuming it possibly was for hb860 to recreate all of the themes.

I just can't get over the appeal of the Desert theme. And thanks to you, I can use it on Windows 7! I have using it ever since I googled and found your site. Thank you for taking the trouble to port the Classics.

Yes, the Plum theme's good too.

I'm still using Windows 7, but I'm coming back here when I decide to use Windows 10. I hope we'll work out something so that we can use these Classic themes on there too.

Thanks again, for keeping memories of those days alive.

Thank you, Jim, for those themes. I have yet again used the Desert theme, on my new laptop. The laptop came with Windows 8.1 and I couldn't get the Desert theme to work on it. It was easy for me to come to the conclusion that I don't need Windows 8.1 (not a big fan; I'll wait for Windows 10). The thought that I couldn't use the Desert theme helped a lot in reaching this conclusion :-) So I've formatted the harddisk and installed Windows 7. I'm back with Desert :-)

I have tried everything trying to fix this problem to no avail. Yesterday, I used the program "Eraser" to wipe my free disk space, but a popup came up saying my memory was running low, even though I had about 500GB left, so I exited from the program even though it looked almost complete. Later...

Wanting more "Classic" themes
Okay, quick question here, and I'm willing to bet someone's able to help. I'm using the "Classic Windows Theme" in the theme list, and there's not much to choose from. I was a huge fan of Windows XP due to the theme options in the system. Is there a website I can download free Classic Windows...
