Taskbar hijacked by Alienware skin Pack

Okay...so my kids installed the green alienware skin pack on my pc. I removed it and had a hell of time getting my desktop icons back to normal. However I can not get my task bar icons back to the default icons as well as the forward and back buttons in the upper left corner of a folder. Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to the forms tcd511,

Have you tried using sfc /scannow three times from an elevated command prompt?

    1. Click Start Orb
    2. In search box, type cmd
    3. Right-click on cmd.exe, and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Thanks for all the great help. I just keep running into more problems. When I choose to repair windows it takes me to the repair screen but I cant select anything. I have no mouse or keyboard input when I am at the screen. I will continue searching these forums since there is alot of very useful info.
