    Yellow background in each window after applying theme patcher


    So i have a problem guys... I was applying themes on my w7starter @ first everything was fine... but then I noticed that the background of my windows has a yellow color... like in this post here.

    i tried the sfc/scannow command but it stops on 16% and that's it....

    i tried manually replacing the themeservices.dll, themeui.dll and uxtheme.dll files.... w/c i think caused the problem.... but when i apply themes again it just comes back...

    help guys.. i would really appreciate it..

    Why don't you try this SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

    Let us know how it goes.

    uhm... nevermind guys.... i looked at the cbs.log text file.... i saw that the explorer.dll, (i'm not sure if this was the file).. i just fixed that file and it fixed my background.... you can close this now...

So i installed the universal theme patcher(windows 7 btw) and it doesnt find themeservice.dll. It patches the other two files but this one doesnt even find it, every box is in blank. How can i solve this. I found it in the system32 directory..why the program doesnt find it? ...

Has anyone used Universal Theme Patcher? I am looking at using a 3rd party theme on my Windows 7 64-bit system but am not entirely convinced as yet. Is this safe?
transparent taskbar and startmenu. They now look like windows 95 style .... errrrrrr :mad: I dont even have the option in 'personalization' to check or uncheck transparency! is there a reverse patcher :) system restore did nothing. Cheers
