How do i reset my system icons??

    How do i reset my system icons??


    You see,

    I installed some mac os themes for my windos 7 32 bit manuaaly aswell as setupically.

    The thing is that when i uninstalled the theme, my some taskbar icons, my folder icon and my system icon havent cahnged.

    like intead of default icon on taskbar network connection iccon i see a wire of link, action center i see a clock.

    folder icon i see blue folder. harddisk icon i see a physical harddisk drive.

    do a scf scan, it will reset to the default icons

    Hello Hassnain,

    You could do a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before you installed this theme to undo it.

    If that's not an option, then you might see if running a sfc /scannow command may be able to restore any modified system files back to default to hopefully fix this for you.

    i did sfc scan , cmd said taht it was unable to fix some log is under

    You might also do this since they are for the system icons in the notification area.

    Hi every one, i did sfc scan , something like that.


    the thing is that my system tray icon have been reseted but not the others like folder icon or local disk icon.

    may be its because when the scan ended it gave a error type thing that said that it wasnt able fix everything

    Many times sfc /scannow need to run more than once. Take a read through here again it might help.

    Those mac themes change a lot of icons, download and follow the install note for the default iconpack installer here Win7 defalt iconpack installer by ~cutechinu on deviantART then you may need to Icon Cache - Rebuild
