Windows 7 Desktop Dragging Looks Like XP

I have been wondering why my desktop looks different from other computers. I have changed back to windows Aero themes and reset themes but it still displays wrong. I had once changed some permissions and the start button but those have been undone for a while. My desktop dragging is a gray dotted line when it should be blue. See attachment for an image of the issue. See attachment "Issue 2" for the problem fixed on another user on my computer!

    Welcome to the Seven Forums

I have never seen that before but try this first. Do Option 2 of this tutorial SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker it will not harm any data or programs you have installed it will try to find and repair any corrupt system files that you have. You may need to do this up to three times with a reboot between each scan.

I tried and the first time it said it fixed some files. Then tried one more time to be safe, didn't repair any. Restarted computer, and ran disk check. It didn't work.

How long has this been going on? Can you do a System Restore to a time before this started?

A long time. I never got around to fixing it. I don't think its that bad of an issue I just wonder why it happened. I think I will just create a new user, move files, and delete old user because the other users on my computer work fine.

That's a good idea you could have a corrupt user profile.
