    Hi, parman,

I’m afraid not. The image must have a transparent background.

Thanks for the replies! I have tried editing some images with Windows 7 Style Builder but when I save the theme I'm modifying (a custom aero theme) it gets messed up and looks like a classic theme. What am I doing wrong? :)

Excellent tutorial you linked btw, seems to be just what I need. Thank you
You cannot be using the theme you are trying to edit at the same time, you need to switch to a different theme, logoff and then log back on and then you can edit the theme.

I'm editing another copy in another location, so that should'nt be the problem. Any other ideas? :)

My Windows install has uxtheme applied from the start from RT7 Lite. I'm using custom themes, I just cant seem to edit them without them becoming messed up.

It could be RT7 Lite has mess up your OS.

Despite being able to successfully apply other themes? Seems weird to me. Thanks for trying to help though
