[Request] Edit Taskbar Button

Hi,

Could someone please remove the square border around this taskbar button? When I do it, the quality of the blue light reduces.

Hi, Jerry,

Thank you for your attempt, but it seems impossible to remove that border without dimming the blue light. Compare the two images below, and you’ll see what I mean.

without border:

I too wish edit the taskbar buttons (specifically, make it more visible when its flashing). Where do you find the resource to edit? Also, which tool would you recommend? Help would be much appreciated

Is that one without the borders the one I did?
I use the rectangle select tool and select everything inside the border and then inverted the selection and deleted the outside border did not touch anything in the middle.

If you are using the original Windows 7 Aero theme take a look at this tutorial you can do it for free Taskbar Button: Change Color of Orange Flashing Button but as Rand said if you're doing a lot of customizing Windows Style Builder is almost a must have.

It could be Photoshop also messing with the alpha channels and the transparency.
Just for your information if you would find a another theme where that button looks good you can export it from a different theme and then import it into your theme.

Thanks for the replies! I have tried editing some images with Windows 7 Style Builder but when I save the theme I'm modifying (a custom aero theme) it gets messed up and looks like a classic theme. What am I doing wrong?

Excellent tutorial you linked btw, seems to be just what I need. Thank you
