    Aero Stopped Working

I am using Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. All of a sudden, Aero has stopped working. I updated my video drivers, but it didn't help. I re-ran the Windows Experience and Desktop Performance for Aero is 6.7.

Why isn't Aero working anymore? And more importantly, how do I get it working again?

    Thanks.

Did you just install IE 10? Been hearing of problems with Aero and 10.

    try this,
type services in the start search, click the result with the cog .
in the window that opens scroll down to desktop window manager session manager.
click on it to highlight it , then on the left click start this service, if it is already started ,stop it then restart it.
also right click on the desktop window manager session manager/select properties and check it is set to automatic on the startup type.

Thanks, but that didn't help. Still no Aero.

Well, I found the problem. It was a recent Microsoft update KB 2670838, After a lot of research, many other people are having this same issue. Uninstalled the update and now everything is working fine.
