    Changing windows start orb, start orb looks like static


    I'm trying to change my start orb to this...



    However, even though it changes without stating any errors, it does not display
    as i expected it to. It has a weird static look to it.



    I'm using Windows 7 start orb changer v5 by doors to windows,
    I have no idea if this is the best one available could someone please tell me
    either whats going wrong or suggest a better start orb changer to use.

    For me I make sure all the orbs are located with the same folder

I had problems installing Winzip on my machine. An on-line help recommended going to msconfig and reducing maxmem to 256. Having done that, Windows now fails to start up. Startup Repair doesn't fix it. I have tried system restore to before the Winzip downloads. Still fails.
I've gone into Control Panel/Change windows colors and metrics and changed all the font colors on all categories I think... but the Start menu font is still black although it did change the font default to Comic Sans MS. I'd like the color to be red.

Changing 7 start orb
in Customization

I honestly can't seem to find any info on it... how exactly does one change the start orb in 7? It used to be in the msstyles file, but it looks like it's packed up and headed elsewhere. :o
In Windows 7 Ultimate, how do you change the Start menu to look like it does in Windows 2000? I.e. no icon, user name, list of recently run programs, etc. I prefer it when I click the Start button I see the familiar menus, such as Programs, Settings, Search, etc. Thanks.
