    Aero themes Problem !!

I have a problem with the Aero Themes and the Effects too .. All themes gone gray !!!

    and i'm using windows 98 theme !!!

I tried to enable Aero service in the services.msc but there's no aero service

Here's a screen shoot for the Personalization Window

    P.S. : I tried the troubleshooter but it's useless

    Is there any suggestions ?

Welcome to Seven Forums timberfire. You are on the High contrast theme. Open task manager ( Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and on the Processes tab, do you show dwm.exe running?

If you are using non windows themes (3rd party themes), have you patched your system? These themes worked before?

You could run the System File Checker, and see if it finds and fixes any errors. You will then need to repatch your system, and see if you can apply your 3rd party themes again.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Enabling Custom Themes - Windows 7

Try running the WEI assessment and see if it completes with no errors

Windows Experience Index - Update or Refresh Score

    Welcome to the Seven Forums

With the troubles you are having I would suggest a clean install and start over.

Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

have you run the sfc scan, bill gave you a link to the tutorial earlier, this will wipe all your third party customisations, also will repatch the system, then you should be ok to try again, providing the trojans etc havent screwed everything up.

    that seems rather quick,
the rule of thumb for sfc scan is to run it 3 times restarting inbetween runs.
though 3 seconds for a scf scan is not right.
i would be very wary of your systems security.
as jerry said clean install. back up everything you can. the important stuff is media and documents etc and if your computer is compromised by earlier trojans then you may not be able to save the important stuff in future.
