    Theme will not delete.

I have this strange happening going on.
Looking at the pic below, there's this custom theme named "Unsaved Theme". The problem is that when I do name it, a new theme w/the name shows up, but Unsaved Theme is recreated!

I've changed to a completly different Theme, then went into the C:\Users\me\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes folder & deleted "Custom" theme, but when I go back into ...\Personalization, "Unsaved Theme" gets recreated automatically.

Anyone know what may be going on?

    Hello CJW,

Whenever you make changes to a saved theme and don't save it, you get a "Unsaved Theme" like this. Do you have any 3rd party program installed that is making changes to your theme that could be causing you to get the "Unsaved Theme" after each change.

You would need to select any saved theme under "My Themes" to use first before you will be able to right click on and delete the "Unsaved Theme".

    Theme - Change or Save

    Hope this helps, :)

    Brink,

I looked through & don't remember ever installing anything that would automatically change my theme w/o my knowledge.
I also just did a small test. I went into ...\Personalization & changed to the Aero Theme 'United States', then I R-clicked & deleted 'Unsaved Theme'. Right away, another 'Unsaved Theme' was created w/the 'United States' theme's properties.

How about when you click on a saved theme inside the "My Themes" area, then delete the "Unsaved Theme" without making any other changes like selecting an "Aero Theme"?

    Same problem.
After trying a few other options, I decided to use a Restore Point & all is back to normal now; still not sure what was going on though, maybe something I couldn't find in the registry.
