Welcome to Seven Forums Shub Niggurath. Generally I see attempts to add Windows 7 type functionality to XP, rather then the other way around. What exactly of XP/Vista system tray do you with to emulate on 7?

You know on the right of the taskbar where you have those icons stored? That's what I mean, I want it to function like it did in XP/Vista where it slides when you click the arrow to show you the rest of the programs instead of showing a pop-up like it does in 7.

Right click on the little up arrow (which causes the box to pop up) then click customise notification icons, and then at the bototm click "always show icons and notifications in the task bar"

Its not quite what you asked for, but no longer causes a popup

I guess you like the way it was in Vista. But is there any technical reason to have it the old way ??
