Windows 7: Customization Issues

Customization Issues

With all these third party programs that struggle to customize my Windows 7 OS ,,I wonder when Microsoft will come to the party and just setup a total customization package that works on Windows 7 OS ?

My problem with these programs like Icon Packager and Login Page theme programs are that they are restricted by my OS security and other problems that Windows 7 will not allow for some crazy reason to change default setting in regards to themes.

Everyone that uses the computer for a long time wants to customize their OS it's what they like! And the sooner Microsoft make this a easy process not a buggy glitchy annoying process, the better it will be.

Hi Clock and welcome to WSF

Just about all of Windows 7 can be customised (but system files need a bit of tweaking), very little of my Windows 7 is default

Nice theme

Well your's is a bit dark for my liking, but It's great to see a unique desktop and would like to know which programs you use and how do you tweak the system icons please ?

I really like the whole Tron theme with neon icons & themes.

Welcome to Seven Forums Clock. Steph can put you on the right path for theming However, as far as MS making changes to 7 for this, it will never happen. They will likely not make a SP2, and are more interested in you moving along to 8...

As Steph has mentioned, the themers have managed to customize all areas of the OS quite effectively if you follow along with them
