    Restore default theme?

i accidently installed alienGUIse which wasn't for windows 7 but for windows vista, i uninstalled because i noticed that is wasn't working. But now my icons can't be normal they have a little icon from alienGUIse on it (see screenshot).
Anyone knows how to turn this back into normal?

Do a system restore to take it back to the time before you installed alienGUIse.

i tried that and i get an error, something that my data might be corrupted and that i need to do a chkdsk on the drive, when i chkdsk the drive it runs and see's no corrupted data's, but the system recovery still gives me the same error.

    Another Solution

When I made this same mistake, simply uninstalling the theme did not restore everything about the default Windows 7 aero theme, in fact it reverted to the Vista aero theme, so my solution was this... click Start, in the search box type Aero, click Find and Fix Problems with transparency and other visual effects, make sure it is set to repair automatically, then click Next. It restored the default Windows 7 theme completely. Good luck.
