    Themes Causing Bright Screen

Hi - When I change between several different themes in the Personalization area, I will sometimes have my theme show up very bright (not sure how else to describe it). There are times when this effect will stay after I close the Personalization window. When this happens, I have to restart to "turn off" the brightness. There are times when a restart won't fix the issue. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi niagara94,

Does this happen with Basic themes, Aero themes, or both?

    Cheers,

Hi - Thanks for your reply. This happens when I have Aero turn on and switch between various themes. I haven't tried it with Aero turned off.

Thanks for your reply. I opened the Personalization screen and tried switching among the various themes. The brightness happened with themes in the "My Themes" section and themes in the "Aero" section but didn't seem to happen with themes in the "Basic" section. Of course I don't have many themes in the basic section - just what came pre installed. I forgot how to turn Aero off or I would have checked some of the themes from the Aero and My Themes section with the Aero turned off. Someone on another forum suggested that I lower the brightness on my monitor and lower the gamma. I tried lowering the gamma a bit but after a bit the problem still happens. I don't know if I lowered the gamma some more if it would help. If there is anything else I need to try let me know please. Thanks for helping me.
