Wallpaper / theme disappears

For whatever reason my wallpaper / theme disappears from time to time when I start the machine. All I am left with is a black screen color and my icons.

Any thoughts?

Do you have the most up-to-date drivers for your graphics card? Have you tried adjusting your screen resolution?

Screen resolution has always been set to max for the monitors

I updated the drivers and it seems to have stopped the odd behavior. I shall monitor it and re-post if it starts happening again
