    Windows 7 x64 not genuine, lost my wallpaper


    I want to fix this and get my wallpaper back, how do I go about doing this?

    Not genuine isn't a good word around here... If you are running a genuine copy then phone Microsoft and get this issue resolved or it will just come back likely at another date... GL :)

    Just a note on this old thread. The reported condition can present in cases where no fraud or theft is in effect. It is a legitimate problem.

    When I experienced this problem, sfc /scannow resolved it.

I used Windows Restore to restore files from a different computer (old computer crashed) now the new computer is not genuine and it wont accept any Windows 7 key. Also, all previous restore points are missing.
