Win 7 Desktop problem

Its weird.

I used to have an image as the background to my desktop, but now the background is the solid color I selected in the desktop personalize window.

When I turn off the computer, the main desktop disapears, and the image I want shows up just before the power is switched off.

Nothing I have tried in the personalize window works.

Help.

Welcome!

You may see if a System Restore may fix your problem.

Good luck!

Hello Orienteer, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if this may be the issue.

Remove Background Images (where available)

Hope this helps,

Thanks guys.

Jonathan: I couldn't find a system restore, although I thought i had created one. I'm having a hard time moving from XP sp3 to Win 7. My memory isn't as good as was yesterday, so each time I have to relearn how to do things, but it is becoming more familiar.

Brink: Your feedback worked very well. Clicking on the hide images button did the trick. I'm not even going to ask how the switch got set.

Again, thanks all.

Scott

Glad your problem is solved.

To test your System Restore, you can manually create a restore point: System Restore Point - Create
