    Best Themes + MAC?

I have all the drivers for third party windows 7 themes on my computer and I was wondering if you guys could post the best Mac ones you know of.

Also, I downloaded the Start Orb Changer, and the Theme Installer but they aren't working. Whenever I try to install something with one of them it always gives me and error message. I can do it manually of course but this would definitely help for the start orb changer.

Oh, and you favorite other 3rd party themes are welcome to be posted, because I need some.

Just for the record, or if you need this info for you to post appropriate stuff for my situation, I have a 64 bit windows 7 laptop, 2 o3 3 gig ram (sorry, can't remember right now) and a decent video card. I am quite familiar with it.

    Thanks.

EDIT: I would like links please, due to my slow internet connection. =)

I use Soft7 1.8 by SpewBoy. You should use the utility Windows Theme Installer which not only patches the theme files but also replaces files such as explorer.exe, explorerframe.dll and others that are required when the theme does more than just change colors. Explorer.exe controls the start button, the other files control various system functions. Make sure that you turn UAC off when using it and also end the process explorer.exe when you're making changing to system files.

Download the theme of your choice. I use Soft7 1.8.

Now download Windows Theme Installer and use it to install both the theme and the system files.

Make sure that you turn off UAC and use task manager to end explorer.exe in processes. You'll need to use CTRL-ALT-DLT to restart because your taskbar will disapear when you end explorer.exe. In other words you'll need to start WTI as an administrator before you end explorer.exe

You have to turn off User Account Control. Then Restart. Then open WTI as an administrator (Right Click > Run as Administrator). Now you shouldn't get the error. If you still get the error, you probably messed with your services settings or something and for some reason the program is getting an error. After you've started the program, open Task Manager and end the process explorer.exe. Now you can change your theme.

Also, make sure that Desktop Window Manager service is running. You can do this by looking in task manager for the process dwm.exe

EDIT: If you still get the error when following my instructions, just skip the error if you're smart and have both tested system restore points and a system image. If you don't, then don't run the program and make some backups incase you destroy your system.

BTW, Use the edit function instead of double posting :)

Thanks, I'll try that as soon as I get and post back. In the meanwhile, I hope people will still post their skins, mac ones especially. =)

Just go to deviantART: where ART meets application! and search for Windows 7 Apple or Windows 7 MAC or Windows 7 OS X.

Thanks for the Links, I'll try those out tonight and tell you what I think. Again, thanks a ton!

I tried running the start orb changer as admin, it ran, and according to the readme file I should be able to do just that and everything will be fine. Instead, explorer.exe and a lot of others had an error message and something to do with '0xc000007b'. I'm going to try your way instead, or is there something else I should do in particular. Would you also maybe know why his readme instructions didn't work.

    Again, thanks a ton. =)
