Windows 7: Aero Theme/Aero system files Crashed.. basic theme only.. plzz help..

Hi,

I use win 7 ultimate x64.
I had few sudden power cuts... so after restarting the system... it sometimes asked to run automated recovery[ or something like that] but i skipped it all the times.

But just once after a power cut the machine somehow started automated recovery, started checkin system files.. etc and after the restart the aero theme was gone.

No more glass effect i only have the basic theme now.



I also used the 100% clearity glass effect befire the crash.

now please can someone help me to get the aero effect back.. i dont want to format plzz help..

Im pretty sure that by replacing certain files i can get the aero back.. but i have no idea which files.. or if this is the correct way..

First do you have a backup to restore from?

Second do you have a win 7 dvd to do a repair install form?

i dont think i have a backup restore..

i do have the extact dvd i installed win 7 from... how do i go on about the repair install ??

Can i do it by directly replacing the affected system files??
Cause im afraid the repair install might remove the installed programs or custom settings i have had since 8 or so months..

Plzz advice..

Ok here is another weird thing i just found out...

I just created another standard user account..and the aero theme/transparency is working properly...
Even in logon/off screen around the user image the transparency is working properly..

Any idea what could be wrong ??

EDIT : I just Uninstalled every single theme.. turns out installation files of the third party themes had gone corrupt[ win 7 blend, soft 7 etc ].. ill try installing them again..
