I wonder if perhaps the new card is defective. Before sending it back for a refund, though, make sure it is seated properly and has sufficient power.

Well, it worked perfectly for 3 months, so I don't think it had seating or power supply problems... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom system OS Windows 7 Ulitmate 64 bit CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Motherboard AMD AM3 ASUS M4A78LT-M mATX Memory 2x 2GB Graphics Card nVidia GeForce GTS 450 1GB Sound Card integrated into the motherboard Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster 931BF Screen Resolution 1280x1024 PSU Gigabyte Superb 550W GE-P450P-C2 Case Dunno. You may try putting your old card back in, see if the artifacts occur there too. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel i7 2600K OC'd @ 4620 MHz Motherboard Asus P8Z68-V Pro Memory 16GB GSkill Sniper 2133 Mhz (4x4GB) Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 480 SuperClocked+ Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 2x Acer S273HLbmii 27" Screen Resolution 2 x 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech MK320 (wireless) Mouse Logitech MK320 (wireless) PSU Corsair HW Series 750w (modular) Case Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Blue Edition Cooling CM Hyper 212+ CPU cooler, 3x 230mm + 1x 140mm case fans Hard Drives 64GB Crucial M4 SSD

I already did, and they didn't. Although the test could perform only with 7 FPS - so there was no much possibilities for the artifacts to appear... | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom system OS Windows 7 Ulitmate 64 bit CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Motherboard AMD AM3 ASUS M4A78LT-M mATX Memory 2x 2GB Graphics Card nVidia GeForce GTS 450 1GB Sound Card integrated into the motherboard Monitor(s) Displays Samsung SyncMaster 931BF Screen Resolution 1280x1024 PSU Gigabyte Superb 550W GE-P450P-C2 Case Dunno. Well you may try RMAing the video card. The worst that can happen is that they return the card to you without any changes, and all you lose is the price of shipping.
It's up to you. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom OS Windows 7 Professional x64 CPU Intel i7 2600K OC'd @ 4620 MHz Motherboard Asus P8Z68-V Pro Memory 16GB GSkill Sniper 2133 Mhz (4x4GB) Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 480 SuperClocked+ Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays 2x Acer S273HLbmii 27" Screen Resolution 2 x 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech MK320 (wireless) Mouse Logitech MK320 (wireless) PSU Corsair HW Series 750w (modular) Case Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Blue Edition Cooling CM Hyper 212+ CPU cooler, 3x 230mm + 1x 140mm case fans Hard Drives 64GB Crucial M4 SSD

Hello Jonathan_King! Really nice tutorial! Now that FurMark 1.9.0 is out, is there a particular reason to use 1.8.2, or just an outdated download link?
Thanks a lot!
Richard

Hi, can you update the OP with the new version of Furmark? The layout of the application has changed, new buttons, new check boxes. I'm also noticing GPU-Z in the new version. I don't remember if it was included in the previous one. Forgive me if such a thread already exists. I just stumbled upon this thread when trying to learn how to OC my video card, which I've honestly never tried to do before. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number N/A OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit CPU E6750 OC'd ~ 2.9 Mhz Motherboard P5N-E Memory DDR2 800 MHz 4GB Graphics Card GTX 460 SE 1GB Sound Card Realtek Audio (Onboard sound) PSU 750 watt Hard Drives Seagate 500 GB HD |
